Within the framework of the company’s production chain, Codelco has announced 500 vacancies for professional internships during the summer of 2024. In addition, there are many open calls for those who want to make their company’s summer 2024 report.
What internships are available?
The approximately 500 places for professional internships available through Codelco are focused on a series of careers such as Civil Engineering and Mechanical Execution, Metallurgical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemistry, Mining, Computer Science , Biomedical, Environmental and Industrial, Geology, Construction, Commercial Engineering , Law, Risk Prevention, Psychology.
What are the requirements?
To apply for any of the internships, the general requirements are: study the degree you are applying for, not study the subjects during the implementation of the internship, have at least two available months or 180 chronological hours, have School Insurance coverage according to Law 16,744 during the validity of the internship, have occupational health at work and can travel to any of Codelco’s work centers.
In addition, Codelco states that high academic performance with a grade equal to or greater than 5.0 or its equivalent is expected, in addition to participating in extra-programmatic or academic activities, such as volunteering and assistantships. As for the workplace, it corresponds to the central offices and the industrial area of the different centers and the costs of travel and/or accommodation are not covered.
Eligible work days can be Monday to Friday (5×2) or Monday to Thursday (4×3), depending on the practice center.
