The consortium also includes Wyss Foundation founder Hansjörg Wyss and Guggenheim Capital co-founder and CEO Mark Walter.
Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer summer transfer target Ousmane Dembele better terms.
The winger is out of contract at Barcelona at the end of June and could join another club for free.
Many of Europe’s elite, including Chelsea and Man Utd, are keen on the Frenchman.
But Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has requested the club to complete Dembele’s signing, according to Fichtjes.
Real Madrid have made an “official offer” for Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gaga Slonina.

And finally, Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta says the club is not in a hurry about possible deals for Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku is being linked with a return to Inter after just one season at Chelsea.
