“Separation in Taiwan is not compatible with peace. It is a threat of secessionism. And if the US does not change its attitude, its ties with China can be seriously damaged,” he said.
“It’s China’s issue, period. It is not that other nations intervene. Some US officials said otherwise, we reject it and we are monitoring it,” he added.
“The determination of the Chinese people to defend their sovereignty cannot be underestimated. It is a red line that cannot be crossed. If the US wants a calm and peaceful Taiwan Strait, it must stop using Taiwan to contain China and reject Taiwan’s independence,” he insisted.
