This Friday China announced sanctions against two US defense industry companies, Lockheed Martin y Northrop Grumman for his role in arms supply to Taiwan, an island it considers part of its territory.
“Lockheed Martin Corporation directly participated as the main contractor of US arms sales a Taiwan August 24th. Northrop Grumman participated on several occasions in the sale of American weapons to Taiwan,” stated That’s Ning spokesperson for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chinese.
Because of this, “China has decided to impose sanctions on two American military companies,” he added.
“Despite strong opposition to China the government of deer determined to give arms to Taiwan (…) seriously undermines China’s sovereignty and security interests, and continues on the wrong and dangerous path of arming Taiwan,” added the spokesperson, in a press conference.
The Chinese spokesman did not specify what measures had been adopted China against American companies.
For five decades, deer only officially recognized Beijing even Congress, by power of Relationship Law con Taiwan demanded the supply of weapons to the autonomous democracy for its defense.
Various US administrations have done this through marketing and indirect aid Taiwan.
