Chingu Amiga reveals why he left South Korea to live in Mexico

Sujin Kim, better known on social media Chingu Amiga, Basically a content creator South Korea which portrays in his publications the cultural conflict between Mexico – where he currently lives – and his country of origin.

it has generated Large number of followers, especially on TikTok (18.8 million). But why did he come to live in Mexico? He answered this in an interview for the radio program walkerLed by Tania Rincon, Fran Hevia and Fer Gay.

“About 4 or 5 years ago I fell in love with Latin culture in general and later, because of the clash of cultures, I got sick in Korea because I missed this culture so much. In Korea I couldn’t stand the societal pressure, I knew another world would be happier than me“, revealed.

He told that when he was a teenager between 14 and 15 years, “I slept for like 3 hours reading I didn’t know I could sleep any more, I never rested on weekends.

“When you go to school they already have the ability that if you don’t have it they don’t treat you as a human being, The thing is it is neither passing nor passing, but you have to beat your partner“, He added.

He also made another strong point: “My (English) teacher gave me 100 words a day, and if i didn’t learn everything he hit me with a big wooden thing it was very painful,

This pressure prompted him to move to Mexico, specifically Nuevo León, where he began teaching Korean at a university and also cemented his influence on social media: “I was working at university and university during the pandemic.” was closed, and I was unemployed. So, that’s where I started the clash of cultures, I taught things”,

“Fest. In Korea you can’t party with loud music, the police can come at 10 p.m. i like to party, so i guess i come here”, he said about what he liked most about Mexico.
