Actor Chris Evans makes it clear that he’s not closing any doors on Marvel Studios’ Steve Rogers/Captain America.
Since the release of Avengers: Endgame (2019), fans have been excited about the possibility of seeing Chris Evans reprise the role of Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rumors about the actor’s possible return to his iconic Captain America character have been circulating for some time, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Chris Evans addressed these rumors in a recent interview with GQ and his answer is inconclusive. Since he hasn’t revealed a possible return, he’s at least leaving the door open.
These are his words.
“Yeah, maybe. I’ll never say never, just because it was a wonderful experience. But I also really appreciate it. I’m very proud of that. And like I said, sometimes I can’t believe it happened. And I would “I wouldn’t want a black eye if it felt like a money grab or if it didn’t live up to expectations or if I just felt like it had nothing to do with the original. So not so fast.”
In the same interview, Chris Evans revealed that he almost turned down the role at first.
“I was initially very hesitant about accepting the role. I remember when I was in my twenties I experienced a real change in how I felt on set and promoting films. A little more fear, a little more uncertainty. In the end you always ask yourself: should I do this? I just wasn’t sure if I was getting closer or further away from myself. And something inside me kept saying that I was getting further and further away, that there was something unhealthy about this industry.”
There is a great event that you shouldn’t miss.
He probably won’t appear in Captain America 4 or Deadpool 3. However, the film “Avengers: Secret Wars” will hit theaters in 2027, and although we don’t have plot details yet, whether they will stick to the story of the comics, there will be a big confrontation between heroes and Marvel villains . So it would be great if Chris Evans returned as a variant of Captain America. Will they present you with something so good that you’ll come back? Only with time will we know, but it would certainly be something epic.
Meanwhile, we can watch all of his appearances as Captain America on Disney Plus, the streaming platform accessible via this link.
