Petra revealed that Pinkett Smith’s enmity towards her arose a few years ago, when she asked him to boycott the Oscars because her husband was not nominated for the 2015 film “The Hidden Truth” (Concussion). “She told a grown man to quit his job because her husband wasn’t named in ‘Concussion.’ Then (Smith) hit me,” he joked. “What the hell? Have I made any jokes about it? Who gives a damn? That’s the thing; it starts, I finish it.

Rock said that, before the slap, he always loved Smith, first as a rapper, then as an actor. “He’s done some great movies. I’ve been rooting for Will Smith all my life, but now he says he’s supporting a slave master who beats Smith’s character in his latest movie, ‘Emancipation.’
