Christopher Nolan’s film makes history and dethrones “Bohemian Rhapsody”

The Barbenheimer phenomenon is already stagnating, but that doesn’t stop both “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” from continuing to make cinema history. The first is already one of the 15 highest-grossing films of all time Christopher Nolan’s latest feature film has grossed over $900 million and has destroyed things that seemed impossible to defeat.

As you know, in Nolan’s film the focus is on the character J. Robert Oppenheimer, is considered the father of the atomic bomb. Therefore, it is a biopic, a genre in which “Bohemian Rhapsody” was the highest-grossing film to date Rami Malek was converted into Freddie Mercury with global sales of $910 million.

“Oppenheimer” is expected to surpass that number this Sunday closes the weekend with a total box office of $912 million, and then some more money is added. A priori, the film is most likely to star Cillian Murphy says goodbye to cinemas with revenues between 930 and 950 million. In principle, the only (and very unlikely) way for it to pass the 1,000 million mark is for it to also be released in Japan, which is unlikely today.

Now we have to see how many years pass before another biographical film surpasses “Oppenheimer.” Well, it’s true that “Bohemian Rhapsody” only came out five years ago, but in return you have to fall back on the $547 million it brought in to make “The Sniper” the third highest-grossing film of all time. Almost 400 million less…

In addition, “Oppenheimer” has long since overtaken “Interstellar”. the third highest grossing film from Nolan’s stimulating filmography. Only The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are listed above.
