The Cincinnati Pride Parade and Festival takes place this Saturday, and two local arts institutions are hosting themed pre-parties this final Friday in preparation.
Art After Dark brings drinks, DJs, and dance to the Cincinnati Art Museum on the last Friday of the month. From 5-9 p.m. on June 24, the museum is celebrating pride with a “Born This Way”-themed party. Local drag queen Phaedra will perform with additional music by DJ Mowgli. Take a free stroll through the gallery or join a docent-led tour of current exhibitions, such as Henry Mosler Behind the Scenes: In Celebration of the Jewish Cincinnati Bicentennial. Food and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

The Contemporary Arts Center is hosting a Pride Party on June 24 at 7-11pm as part of its Final Friday “Subterranean” series. Held beneath the black box performance space, this month’s event features a drag show — with the Stickson Stones, Kiara Chimera, Chastity Marys, Jessica Marie Jones, Mirrell Jane Devine, and Flora Dellis — and “High-Energy Drag” hosted by Northside Bar. Party” Good Judy. DJ Boywife and Hershey’s will be playing Bee tunes.
There is a ticket to this event and it costs $20.
