Cisco’s goal is for 100% of new Cisco products and packaging to incorporate Circular Design Principles by 2025, in which Cisco devices play an important role. One example of our commitment to circular design is the Cisco Room Bar, which last year went on sale with 100% recyclable packaging material to eliminate up to 165,000 pounds (74,842 kilos) of packaging materials per year. In addition, the Cisco IP Phone 8800 series models are made from 100% they will have post-consumer resin recycling (PCR), helping to avoid the use of more than 3 million pounds (more than 1.3 million kg) of virgin plastic per year.
Cisco invites its customers, partners and employees to participate in its Takeback and Reuse program, in which 99.9% of Cisco’s recycled hardware is returned and recycled at the end of its useful life.
