The Governing Board of the Madrid City Council has today authorized the supply contract for a total of 46 ambulances for the municipal emergency service SAMUR-Civil Protection. The base tender budget for these ambulances, to be leased for a period of 60 months (five years), is 9.8 million Euros (9,811,896).
These 46 new ambulances are distributed among 30 Basic Life Support (USVB) units, 14 Advanced Life Support (USVA), one Psychological Ambulance (UPSI) and another Psychiatric Care (USPS). Currently, there are 210 units in the SAMUR-PC vehicle park.
This contract replaces and duplicates the current one, which is about to expire and which refers to the lease of a total of 22 ambulances. The new contract, which includes 24 more vehicles, is proportional to the increase in the Samar-PC operating base that has been put into operation in the city or will soon do so and the personnel assigned to provide the service. Everything with the aim of being present, in the shortest possible time, to those citizens who need it most.
SAMUR-PC has in its charter of services the responsibility of health care for emergencies and emergencies, the organization of disasters and health care and the situation of public disasters that occur on the streets and public places within the municipal limits, for which it is necessary What it requires is a fleet of operational vehicles made up of basic ambulances, advanced life support and psychological and psychiatric care, among others. ,
