In Castile-La Mancha, according to the tax authority, more than 72,500 people, particularly 72,535, have received the aid of 200 euros approved by the government to mitigate the impact of high inflation, especially on the most vulnerable groups.

The beneficiaries of this initiative, approved by the executive at the end of December last year, are self-employed or dependent workers, as well as recipients of unemployment benefit or subsidy in 2022, whose gross income did not exceed 27,000 euros last year and who dispose of their assets, minus their habitual residence , does not exceed 75,000 euros. In addition, they must be habitually resident in Spain in 2022.

To calculate the amounts, the income and assets of the following persons living at the same address must be added: the beneficiary himself; your spouse or domestic partner; descendants under 25 years of age or with disabilities whose income does not exceed 8,000 euros; and ancestors up to the second degree in the direct line (parents and grandparents).

Beneficiaries by province

The deadline to apply for this assistance was March 31st. By province, in Castile-La Mancha, 24,995 people in Toledo, 18,154 in Ciudad Real, 14,945 in Albacete, 8,484 in Guadalajara and 5,957 in Cuenca have benefited from this one-time payment of 200 euros.

Goal: Reduce vulnerability situations

As with the previous aid of 200 euros, pensioners and recipients of the minimum income (IMV) are excluded from this aid, as they are groups that have already benefited from other measures approved by the government such as the 15% increase in non-contributory pensions and the IMV. Likewise, pensioners’ purchasing power is guaranteed through the revaluation of pensions according to the consumer price index.

“Therefore, this one-off payment of 200 euros, contained in Royal Decree-Law 20/2022 of December 27, expands the circle of beneficiaries of the previous benefit, with the aim of mitigating the harmful effects of the increase in prices, especially among the lowest incomes. In this way, this benefit reduces situations of economic hardship that are not covered by other social benefits such as pensions or the IMV,” they explain from the government delegation.

The aid of 200 euros is part of the package of measures decided by the government to mitigate the effects of inflation on the country’s social majority.
