The Rockies added a pair of runs in the bottom half of the fifth. Blackmon singled out Gore’s side ahead of Crone’s second homer. It was Crone’s second multi-homer game of the season and the 15th game of his career. Gore then went to Brendan Rodgers and was relieved by Mike Clevinger.
Krone’s second homer traveled 486 feet, landing on the ground behind left-field bleachers. It was the longest home run of his career and the second longest run of the season after a 496-foot drive by Miami’s Jesus Sanchez at Coors Field on May 30.
“I was just trying to get a good swing on a ball in the zone and luckily, usually when I get them out they go out, so I had to try to make that solid contact more often and keep going. Tried to stay,” Crohn said. Told.
Freeland hailed the run support that Rocky started early on and built up during the game.

Rockies: LHP Ty Bloch, who was on a 15-day injured list a week ago with a left wrist strain, is being sent to Triple-A Albuquerque for rehab work beginning Wednesday. He is on track for June 26 reinstatement from IL. … Kris Bryant, who has been battling a lower back injury for most of the season, is expected to start rehab with Albuquerque in the next day or two. He may rejoin the Rockies as soon as next week during the team’s Interleague series in Minnesota.

The Rockies recalled fielder Alan Trejo from Triple-A Albuquerque a day after adding outfielder Sam Hilliard to their top-of-form club.
Colorado RHP German Marquez (3-5, 6.09 ERA) will be looking for a third straight win against San Diego RHP Nick Martinez (2-3, 3.74 ERA) starting Saturday night.
