CJ Cron hits his 10th home run in the Rocky Mountains victory over the Dodgers in August

When the Rockies beat the Dodgers 5-0 in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, CJ Cron added another chapter to his unforgettable August.

When he hit a two-point, three-base homer in the first game of right-hander Mitch White, Krone provided his team with all the running it needed. Crown drove home to Brendan Rogers, who singles, Charlie Blackmont, who doubled.

Cron is in a certain area. The first baseman may be named the National League Player of the Month. He has 24 home runs, 10 of which will take place in August. He led the majors with 33 points RBI this month, while reaching 0.376. Cron has reached the base in 23 consecutive games, two games short of his career high.

When asked to describe his feelings on consecutive bases, Krone said: “I think I can cover more of the court than usual. As long as it is the pitch that I think I can handle, is it a slider, a heater, or The replacement is not important. I kind of feel that I can handle all three pitches now. It’s just something I saw the ball early and I was trying to swing.”

As for his chance of winning the Player of the Month—he will be the 21st Rocky Mountain player so honored—Cron avoided the topic.

“I think you can ask me if it happens,” he said with a smile.

After a slow start to the season, Cron has now reached 0.275 with an OPS of 0.914.

“He had a great August, and we still have a few days to increase his total,” said manager Bud Black. “You can prove that he is our best offensive player of the year. He has been so good.”
