Mexico City. In her first message as the national coordinator of the defense of change, in front of the members of the National Council of Morena and the leaders of the PT and the PVEM, Claudia Sheinbaum defined her first five proposals, and with one teaching tone, called to open the movement of those who want to be part of it, leading to next year’s election.
This Sunday, the former head of the Government of Mexico City received his certificate accrediting him as the national coordinator of the defense of change, a position that will eventually become the standard bearer of Morena and its allies for the presidential race.
After the president of the national council of the party, Alfonso Durazo, gave him the certificate accrediting him as the winner of the internal process, Sheinbaum made the first proposals for the national council.
He spoke for “consolidating our program of continuity with change,” where he instructed us to go door to door and create defense committees throughout the country. He urged the dissemination of the achievements of the fourth amendment, as well as the “opening of the call for coordination at the state, district and municipality today.”
At the same time, he asked to “open our movement, of course guarantee our principles and our project, consolidate the coalition of the political parties that are part of it, but above all in a broad call, because I am convinced that there are many Mexicans who “They want to be part of this great movement of change.”
After highlighting that in 2017 and 2018, the current president Andrés Manuel López Obrador did outreach work throughout the country, he proposed to copy that work.
“Today I call for the participation of people from all social classes, people from different currents of thought, from all religions, free thinkers, in this movement that is broad, plural, of farmers, workers, independent workers, middle class, artisans ” , scientists, artists, intellectuals, businessmen and entrepreneurs, youth, women, to millions of Mexicans men and women who live outside of Mexico, to build the second floor of change.”
He extended his invitation “to those who want to continue to strengthen the path of honesty, the path of a welfare state, the rights of the people of Mexico, the path of strengthening education in public, public health, access to housing, to good wages.”
Immediately, he read a document in which he established that on September 17 he would begin to tour the country, “in unity, organization and mobilization.”
He stated that “under AMLO’s presidency we are building a more just and sovereign country. The foundations of our country have been laid, but there is more to be done.”
We all deserve here, “the poor, the middle classes and the entrepreneurs. All faiths and all forms of hope,” he added, and invited “all people of good will” who want to participate, regardless of their affiliation, while calling for ” leave doubts and grievances among our sympathizers and militants. But also, to those from other political and partisan positions fighting for the same goal.
He announced that the places and dates of the assemblies of the 32 entities where they can be integrated will soon be announced.
“We must protect the great legacy of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. We must strengthen unity and always help those who want to continue and be part of this great movement of change. Together, united with the people of Mexico, we are more, we are doing more and we will continue. “We are proud to defend humanism and feel proud now more than ever of the men and women of Mexico who made our homeland.”
The leader of the fourth amendment was chanted on various occasions as “president, president” by the members of the Council, among them, the 22 acting governors of the party, the elected governor of the state of Mexico, and the deputy and senator who made raise this organ.
Also present were candidates for the internal process Ricardo Monreal, Manuel Velasco and Gerardo Fernández Noroña. The leaders of the PT and the PVEM, but without the presence of Adán Augusto López, who also participated in the process, of Marcelo Ebrard, who left his continuity in the party in doubt, after he declared that he no longer had a place in Morena.
