CM Yogi gave these orders regarding the dead bodies flowing in the Ganges river

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed concern about the bodies being drained into the Ganges and directed them to stop it from flowing into rivers in any case. The Chief Minister said that for this, water police should constantly monitor the boat.

Chief Minister Yogi was reviewing the situation of Kovid-19 in the state at a high-level meeting convened through virtual medium here today. He said that the water police of SDRF and PAC should continue patrolling continuously in all rivers by boat. It should be ensured that dead bodies are prevented from flowing into the water. The river is polluted due to its flow.

Yogi said that the central and state governments are running special schemes to keep the rivers clean. It is not environmentally friendly to burn dead bodies in water for the funeral of any deceased. In this regard, by communicating with the religious leaders, they have instructed to get their cooperation in making people aware.

The Chief Minister said that the officials of the concerned gram panchayats and urban bodies should be made aware of the people that they should not let the dead bodies flow under any local tradition. In this regard, the Home Department, Urban Development Department, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department jointly formulate an action plan and effectively curb such traditions.

He said that a steady decrease in the rate of corona infection and an ever-improving recovery rate is a hopeful sign. Accordingly, he directed to continue the war against Kovid-19 as per the target of trace, test and treat.

The Chief Minister said that now the number of active cases in the state has come down from two lakhs to 1,93,815. On April 30, the maximum number of active cases in the state was 03 lakh 10 thousand 783, against which the number of active cases has fallen by about 01 lakh 17 thousand in the last 14 days.
