Both entities have a strong commitment and willingness to define mechanisms, functions and activities that favor equal opportunity and the advent of women in entrepreneurship and the world of STEAM investing (Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture and Mathematics for its acronym in English).
in the words of Marta Balenciaga, Dean-President of COIT, “This collaboration will help women develop their potential in business and tech entrepreneurship environments”. In this sense, Esther Tapia, General Director of COIT, has stated that “it will be easier for telecommunications engineers to start a new financing window, as long as their projects have at least one woman in the founding team and a clear component of innovation”.
for his part, Marta Huidobro, President of the WA4STEAM Association He highlighted “We are very pleased to be able to collaborate with COIT and facilitate their access to funding and foster their development as ‘business angels’ by investing in Steem projects.”

COIT Horizon Steam Working Group

WA4STEAM
is a non-profit association formed by More than 100 women ‘Business Angels’ Which supports investments and startups in early stage of development (seed capital stage) in STEAM sectors led by women.
The main objective is to increase the number of women ‘Business Angels’ and women entrepreneurs in STEAM. Partners not only seek profitability, but also aspire to be strategic partners while fostering future leaders and role models.
