“The innovative work that Brian Roberts has done at Comcast to provide connectivity and entertainment while supporting our communities is unparalleled,” Chamber President and CEO Chelly Cameron said in a statement.
He added that Comcast is “a key driver of inclusive growth in our region,” and he is proud to work closely with leaders like Roberts to continue to fuel the economic vitality of Greater Philadelphia.

“I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious award and to join an extraordinary group of honorees,” Roberts said in a statement.
One of the past recipients of the William Penn Award is Comcast founder and Brian’s late father, Ralph Roberts.
“I am very grateful to the Chamber of Commerce and I look forward to continuing to work together to make Philadelphia a great place to live and work,” said Roberts.
This is the latest recognition given to Roberts for his leadership in the world of business and industry.
He was previously named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Fortune magazine, one of the “World’s Best CEOs” by Barron’s, and one of America’s Best CEOs 17 times by Institutional Investor magazine. Roberts has also received the Simon Wiesenthal Center Humanitarian Award, the Pennsylvania Society’s Gold Medal for Distinguished Achievement, and the Philadelphia Award.
