Cooler Master: New Mobius fans come with “Ring Blade Design”

von Valentin Sattler
Cooler Master has announced the two new fans Mobius 120 and Mobius 120P ARGB. What they both have in common is a ring that stabilizes the rotor blades and is marketed by Cooler Master as the “Ring Blade Design”.

Cooler Master has introduced a new series of fans, which should be characterized by a special design, among other things. Similar to Noiseblocker’s Eloops, the “Mobius” fans have a ring that connects the ends of the seven fan blades. This construction, called “Ring Blade Design”, supposedly enables a significant reduction in vibration development.

Two versions for different purposes

According to Cooler Master, this should in turn benefit performance and noise development. With the specific data, a distinction is made here depending on the model: The “normal” Mobius fan is used by Cooler Master as a Mobius 120 sold and also relies on the same frame width. At 2,050 revolutions per minute, the fan should be able to transport 107 m³/h. The pressure is given as 2.69 mmH2O, and Cooler Master calls the volume 22.6 dBa.

On the other hand, the one announced by Cooler Master is a bit more powerful Mobius 120P ARGB. This is about 2,400 revolutions per minute, 128 m³/h and an air pressure of 3.63 mmH2O. In addition, the Mobius 120P ARGB has a transparent rotor and LEDs that illuminate it. However, the disadvantage compared to the Mobius 120 is the maximum volume: Cooler Master speaks of 30 dBA here.

Cooler Master is also launching the Mobius 120 in an ARGB version.

What: Cooler Master

Probably due to the higher maximum pressure, the Mobius 120P ARGB should be more suitable for use on air coolers and radiators. According to Cooler Master, the normal Mobius 120 should be used more as a case fan.

Both fans are already listed in the PCGH price comparison and are already available in Germany. The Cooler Master Mobius 120 is available from Alternate for $25, and the Mobius 120P ARGB is available from the same retailer for $30. In addition, both models are already listed at some other dealers, who will apparently also receive a delivery in the next few days.
