Swiss Railways is aiming to set a world record for its 175th anniversary: On October 29, 2022, the signal of a 1910-metre-long Rhaetian Railway train in Prada (Graubünden) begins to turn green. The railway company reports that there has never been a longer passenger train in the world. The journey of the narrow-gauge railway takes you through narrow curves, numerous tunnels and over viaducts and bridges.
The 25 “Capricorn” multiple-unit train, containing more than 100 passenger cars, travels from Preda to Burguna on the UNESCO World Heritage Route Albula/Bernina. After a 46-minute drive, a festive venue awaits. Arrival is possible only by train, the maximum number of visitors is 3000. Advance ticket sales start from August 2, 2022.

Qatar Airways will fly to Düsseldorf from November
Hanover/Doha Qatar Airways announces new route. The airline will operate daily between Düsseldorf and Doha from 15 November. This makes Düsseldorf the fourth German destination to be served by Qatar’s national airline. The route is served by a modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which has 22 seats in business class and 232 in economy class. (dpa)
