An FIR has been lodged on the basis of a complaint lodged by the BMC against ‘Cafe 145’ in Bandra West after 200 people were found in a cafe during a late-night raid on Saturday (February 20, 2021). During the raid it was found that people were present in the cafe without wearing masks and social distancing standards were also not followed.
In view of the growing Corona infection once again in Maharashtra, BMC has started its operations at restaurants, cafes and pubs in Mumbai. Action is being taken strictly against those who are not following Kovid’s standards in view of the growing Corona cases in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra.
Several restaurants, clubs and cafes were raided in Bandra West on Saturday night and were fined heavily for violation of the standards. The BMC also raided three other hotels and clubs in Bandra West on Saturday night.
BMC imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on Irish House Pali Hill, Rs 20,000 on U Turn Sports Bar in Khar and Rs 30,000 on Quarter Pillar Bar and Restaurant. In all these places, more than 100 people had gathered at one place and were found to be in violation of the Kovid protocol that went against BMC orders.
The cases of corona infection in Maharashtra are increasing rapidly.
