During this time, along with the Center, the state government will also inform the Supreme Court about its preparedness to deal with Corona. This hearing in the Supreme Court will be around 12 noon.
In fact, amidst the lack of oxygen and many other chaos across the country, the Supreme Court had taken suo motu cognizance of the matter and suggested a clear national plan. The Supreme Court has asked the central government to give detailed information about the production and distribution of oxygen and essential medicines to the court. Apart from this, the court can ask to submit the report on many other issues.
Let us tell you that earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court held a hearing in the matter of lack of oxygen and other issues related to the management of the corona. During this time, the court sought answers from the central government on some issues including vaccine prices, availability of vaccines, oxygen. The three-judge bench said that it would hear the case on Friday, 30 April at 12 noon. The central government said that it can reply on all issues by Friday.
During the hearing on the case, the Supreme Court had said that ‘this court cannot remain a mute spectator in times of national crisis. Our aim is to play our role with the help of the High Courts. High courts also have an important role. During the hearing, Justice Chandrachud said that the purpose of these hearings is not to suppress the High Court or interfere in their work. He has a better understanding of what is happening within his territorial boundaries. ‘
