Corona vaccine is 99 percent safe, vaccination is important: Health Minister of Telangana

Telangana (Telangana) Health Minister Eatala Rajender has described the Covid-19 Vaccine as 99 percent safe. He said, “The Kovid-19 vaccine is 99 percent safe and it is important to get vaccinated. I believe that everyone will come forward in the coming days. ”

In Telangana, 221 new cases of Korana were registered, with the total number of people infected in the state increased to 2.93 lakh. On Saturday, 431 patients were virus-infected and discharged. Meanwhile, two more patients died, taking the total number of deaths from Corona to 1,588 in the state. The Kovid mortality rate of Telangana is currently 0.54 percent, which is lower than the national average of 1.4 percent.

Create Vaccine Testing Lab in Hyderabad

Significantly, Telangana Industries Minister KT Rama Rao recently urged Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to set up a Vaccine Testing and Certification Laboratory and Government Medical Store Depot in Hyderabad. In a letter to the Union Health Minister, Rama Rao demanded the establishment of a vaccine testing and certification laboratory on the lines of the Central Pharmaceutical Laboratory in Kasauli.

Produce over 6 billion doses every year

He said that Hyderabad is known as the ‘Vaccine Capital of the World’ and produces more than six billion doses every year, which contributes one-third to the global vaccine production. He wrote in the letter that at present, vaccines manufactured in Hyderabad are being sent to the Central Pharmaceutical Laboratory at Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh for testing and certification.

‘ICMR is given free required land’

Rao also mentioned that the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) is setting up the country’s largest national animal resource facility for biomedical research in Gnome Valley, Hyderabad. He said, “For the project, the state government has given necessary land to ICMR free of cost for setting up this facility.”
