When and where will the coronation take place?
King Charles III will be crowned in Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023. The Queen consort will be crowned together with her husband. The site witnessed the coronation of all kings by William the Victor, except for Edward V and Edward VIII, who were never crowned, nor 17 royal weddings and royal funerals.
Who will attend the coronation?
Prepare for the procession of the king, the princess Anne, and the vice-admiral Lord Lawrence Timotheus; the Earl and Countess of the West Saxons and their children; Princess Eugenia and Princess Beatrice and their Spouses; Zara and Mike Tindall and perhaps their older children, and Peter Phillips and his daughters are expected to be in the congregation. What music will be played?
Andreas Nethsingha, organist of Westminster Abbey and Master of the Choristers, oversees all the musical arrangements and performs the music for the ceremonies. Twelve pieces of music will be performed, consisting of six orchestral commissions, five choral commissions and one organ commission, all composed especially for the season.

What about the coronation concert?
Five thousand lucky entrants will be selected for two free tickets to the first ever concert on the grounds of Windsor Castle. The event, which will take place on the night of Sunday, May 7, “will be performed by a world-class orchestra, with the most popular musical themes performed by some of the world’s greatest artists, together with artists from the world of dance and arts”.
