Corral de Calatrava will open its first kindergarten after the following school year after an investment of 445,580 coins, also financed entirely with European funds. The mayor of the town, Andrés Cárdenas, has satisfied that the project, which has already been extinguished in urgent tenders, will become a reality in a few months. It will have 42 seats for children from 0 to 12 years and will be held in the old Auditorium, attached to the school, and whose infrastructure has already been demolished. The implementation period is four months, so Cardenas is confident that the machines will be working on the ground as soon as possible.
Corral de Calatrava has a toy library, within the Correspondent project, a nursery and a school that is the “relationship of the region”, with children attending from the region such as Caracuel, Los Pozuelos and Canada, among others. for the children of the estates which are leased in the municipalities, it is so predicted that all the places will be filled. “We are not gaining population, but we are not losing either. We ourselves,’ says the counselor of Corral.
The offer, recalls Cardenas, can be presented on April 5, so that a few days later, after Easter, a table will be convened to award the contract to the work. If the project is not delivered within the scheduled time, it states “there will be a penalty”.
But the children’s school is not the only major initiative that the government team has on the table. In this sense, he mentions many other projects such as the removal of barriers in the square street, which restrict traffic, and in the urban area, which will be carried out from the grant of approximately 700,000 coins. To this will be added others such as the recently completed day center with day rooms, which will start once permission has been received from the social services, and the new Town Hall, without forgetting the training center, soccer field and motorhomes, among others.
