Covid: Health records 30,000 new cases and 167 deaths

Health Secretary informed that 30 thousand 333 new cases of Kovid-19 have been registered in the last seven days, a total of 7 cases Million 252 thousand 944 infections.

With regard to deaths, as per the weekly technical report, till January 3, 167 were recorded in a week.

Overall, the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic in Mexico is 331 Mile 197.

The agency reported that in Epidemiological Week 52 of 2022, which runs from December 25 to 31, a daily average of 2,455 infections and three deaths were recorded.

With regard to active cases, Health reported that 36,015 have been registered with an incidence rate of 27.4 per 100,000 inhabitants.

The entities with the highest rates of active cases are: Mexico City, Querétaro, Tabasco, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Quintana Roo, Colima, Morelos Baja California Sur and the State of Mexico.

With regard to the capture of the hospital, the agency pointed out that The number of normal beds remains seven per cent, while the number of beds with mechanical fans is two per cent.

COVID and Vaccination

In relation to the National Immunization Strategy, the coverage is 84 percent in all population areas.

By age groups, it reaches 91 percent among people over the age of 18; 64 percent among teenagers; and 60 percent among girls and boys ages five to 11.
