The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, became the subject of criticism and ridicule on social networks after a mistake on his X account in which he confused the daughter of the former president of Chile Salvador Allende with the writer who happened to carry the same name
And in the middle of his recent visit to Chile, the Colombian president uploaded a photo in which he appeared to hug María Isabel Allende Bussi, the daughter of the former president, who died 50 years ago ago, during the takeover of the Palacio de la Moneda.
Everything was fine, until Internet users noticed the president’s mistake, when in the message accompanying the photo he said the following:
“With Isabel Allende, daughter of comrade Salvador Allende, one of the best writers in Latin America,” Petro said at the beginning.

And the last part of the message is the one that does not add up, because it is what punishes Petro on this occasion, in addition to the fact that the mistake has been criticized a lot on social networks.
Internet users immediately began to remind the president that the daughter of the former president of Chile is a political scientist, not a writer. After seeing the error, the president deleted the message and then published a new one in which he said:
“With Isabel Allende, daughter of President Allende,” wrote Petro.
Later, the same president Gustavo Petro wrote another message on the same social network that María Isabel Allende was at the Palacio de la Moneda with her father on the day the Army bombed the building to overthrow the Allende government, which remember a little history.
