Balancer, an Ethereum-based decentralized finance protocol, has confirmed that its user interface is currently “under attack.”
The platform notified its community at 11:49 p.m. UTC on September 19, asking users not to interact with the Balancer protocol until further notice.

Balancer said the details of the attack were being investigated. The company has not yet confirmed whether user funds are safe.
However, blockchain security companies including PeckShield and On-Chain Detective. ZachXBT estimates that at least $238,000 worth of cryptocurrencies were stolen.

This is Balancer’s second theft in a month, after Balancer warned of a critical security flaw on August 22 that led to a $2 million exploit a few days later.
