CSEIIO students win 3rd place in the National Water Pool

  • Oaxaca.- Student Wendy Sosa and student Cristopher Oswaldo Montaño González of the IV module in the Integral Baccalaureate Community (BIC) 29, was recognized at the Swedish Embassy in Mexico for obtaining third place in the National Youth Award (PNJA) 2023.

    A student from BIC 29, belonging to the Superior College for the Intercultural Education of Oaxaca (CSEIIO) located in Teotitlán del Valle, was awarded the project Rainwater Harvesting as a Sustainability Strategy in the Cultura Pitahaya (Hylocereus Undatus), developed. his field, which existed among more than 360 projects by 600 students from all countries.

    Both students achieved this great feat after winning the regional competition in the southern quarter, in which they competed with the youth of Chiapas and Guerrero to later pass to the national stage.

    The project was advised by Cristopher and Wendy by the agronomist architects, Brenda Jarquín Martínez, and it comes from the tradition of education and community knowledge, that this subsystem subsystem as the main learning tool for students belonging to the CSEIIO to compete in various practical and research fields.

    It should be noted that the National Youth Water Lake is the most important youth organization in water affairs in Mexico, whose main objectives are to promote awareness and knowledge about the value and situation of water.

    It also fosters the generation of future leaders in a solid academic environment in perspective and promotes scientific, technological and social contributions that contribute to solving local, regional and global water challenges and problems.

    This competition is organized by the Regional Center for Water Security under the auspices of UNESCO, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, through the UNAM Water Network, and the Swedish Embassy in Mexico, which invites change agents to promote research in water. security issues.

    In this sense, the CSEIIO, along with the New Educational Policy promoted by the Public Government, will continue to promote the talent of Oaxacan youth, seeking the development of the towns and the historical Reparation with the communities, in order to achieve a new Social Covenant. more coexistence and well-being for all.
