All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has removed all posts related to CSK’s 2021 and 2022 seasons from his social media account – an indication that all is not well between the all-rounder and the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. However, a CSK official tried to clear up the rumors about the rift and told ANI: “See, this is a personal call from him. We are not aware of such types of incidents from our side.
There have been some reports that claimed that the all-rounder did not wish Mahendra Singh Dhoni this year on his birthday on social media accounts, which he used to do until last year.
Jadeja was named captain of CSK earlier this year after MS Dhoni resigned from his captaincy ahead of the 2022 IPL season. However, the all-rounder stepped down midway through the 2022 season as it was affecting his individual performance.
Dhoni resumed command of the team and Jadeja was later dropped from the IPL with a rib injury, before returning to the England tour. Just over two months ago, the all-rounder ended a forgettable IPL season with the Chennai franchise.
Despite having a poor IPL season in 2022, Jadeja was brilliant in her return match against England. He crushed a ton at Edgbaston in the fifth rescheduled Test which was played between July 1st and 5th. Meanwhile, CSK congratulated the all-rounder after BCCI elected him vice-captain of the upcoming ODI series against the West Indies.
