Between September 25 and October 1, a new edition of the Open d’Orléans will be held in that French city. This competition belongs to the ATP Challenger circuit with category 125, and is played on the indoor hard courts of the Palais des Sports. Share the week in Bogotá, Braga and Charleston.
Orleans once again hosts the usual Challenger tournament, a fixture on the calendar since the 2005 season, and there will be no event in 2020 due to the pandemic. Among some of the champions of the tournament we can highlight Nicolas Mahut, Xavier Malisse or Radek Stepanek, among others. The current defending champion, Gregoire Barrere, is not returning for this edition.
The top seed is the experienced Richard Gasquet followed by local youth Luca Van Assche y Hugo Gaston, to complete the trident of pre-qualifiers in the Centre-Loire Valley region. In that batch of plants, another one with a career like Belgian is also present. David Goffin winner of this title in 2012, in addition to two players such as Maxime Cressy y Jack Draper who are recovering from injuries and who will be looking for good results to regain places in the rankings.
