Cuba against Italy in the 16th round of the Men’s World Volleyball Championship

At the XX Men’s World Volleyball Championships, at the venue in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Cuba will take on undefeated Group E winners Italy in Round 16 this Saturday.

Bambino advanced to the Round of 16 after victories over Turkey, Canada and China, while the Caribbean did so as a best third in the group, thanks to their success against Qatar and setbacks against Brazil and Japan.

Slovenia will face Germany before the match between the Caribbean and Europeans (3:15 pm) on Saturday. On Sunday there will be activity in the United States-Turkey, second in Groups C and E, and Poland (1st C)-Tunisia (3rd A), with challenges in the Polish city of Gliwice.

The Netherlands (1st F)-Ukraine (2nd A) and France (1st D)-Japan (2nd B) will meet in Ljubljana on Monday; And on Tuesday, again in Gliwice, it will be Serbia (1st A) – Argentina (3rd F) and Brazil (1st B) – Iran (2nd F).

The quarterfinal round will still be shared by both venues on 7 and 8 September (Ljubljana and Gliwice). The semi-finals and grand final will take place in the Polish city of Katowice.
