A 38-year-old Cuban resident Miami Lakes was accused of robbing and raping a sex worker in the Liberty City neighborhood, among other serious charges.

During a search of his apartment, police found a nine-millimeter Smith & Wesson pistol and another compressed air pistol. With one of these two weapons he threatened, robbed and sexually abused the victim.
In addition to the above allegations, the judge analyzing the case found probable cause to charge the Cuban with kidnapping with a weapon, illegal confinement with a deadly weapon and use of a firearm in the commission of a serious crime.
The judge ruled that the Cuban will continue to be held without bail.
