New Delhi: The Tornado Cyclone is moving rapidly at a speed of 150 kmph. Several cities in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, were affected by it on Monday. The Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) informed that six people died and nine were injured in the damage caused by the tornado cyclone.
Four animals also died. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray assessed the damage and directed to expedite relief operations. With this, the operational shutdown of Mumbai airport has been extended till 10 pm today.
Here, Diu Collector Saloni Rai said, the possible landfall is at 8 pm. During which winds will blow at a speed of 150-160 kmph. We are evacuating people from raw houses. 1200 people have been shifted to the shelter. We have a dual power backup system at Kovid Hospital.
There are 2 teams of NDRF stationed here and 2 teams of Indian Army will also come. CHC, PHC and government hospitals will be operational 24 hours.

Along with this, an accident occurred in Ulhasnagar due to strong winds. One person died and 2 were injured when a tree fell on top of an auto rickshaw. The accident occurred on the main road of Gandhi Road Tehsildar of Camp 5. When a rickshaw was carrying passengers from this place, due to the strong winds, a big tree uprooted and fell on the rickshaw.
People in the rickshaw were seriously injured and died on the spot. The tree also fell on power lines, disrupting the power supply in the area. Removal of the tree is being done by the fire brigade. While the injured persons have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
