The Indian Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of Hurricane Yas turning into a cyclonic storm in a few hours. The cyclonic storm Yas is likely to hit the Odisha coast by this afternoon.
According to the Meteorological Department, the Yas storm will cross the Odisha coast between Dhamra and Balasore with wind speeds of 130 to 140 kilometers per hour. The Yas storm formed in the Bay of Bengal will enter Odisha, the effect of which will be visible in 8 states including Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bihar.
Cyclone Yas is 120 km from Paradip in Odisha and 180 km from Balasore. Moving at a speed of 12 kilometers per hour for the last six hours. The cyclone is 280 km away from Paradip. This is the Seavier Cyclone.
Before the storm in Balasore, the weather has started to deteriorate continuously. On behalf of the administration, Yas has postponed the flights from Kolkata Airport on May 26 from 8:30 am to 7:45 pm due to inclement weather due to Yas cyclone storm.
Cyclonic storm Yas is likely to hit south of Paradip on Tuesday. The cyclonic storm will be very strong in the next 12 hours. At the same time, it is raining with strong winds in Balasore, Odisha. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told the press conference that two incidents have occurred due to Hurricane Yas.
There is a possibility that the Chakravak Yat will not have much impact on West Bengal, but heavy rains and strong winds will occur. However, it will have a significant impact on Odisha. Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Mayurbhanj in Odisha will be the worst hit by this storm.
