Lara Saget said her late father, comedian Bob Saget, “loved everything he had,” in a beautiful tribute she shared on Thursday.
“For someone who is afraid to love, Unconditional love is the greatest of gifts. My dad loved everything he had,” Lara wrote on Instagram, along with a black and white photo of her with her father when she was younger.
“He had so many reasons to be afraid to love. So many loved ones kept dropping the body,” she said. “Instead of being afraid, he loved more.”
“I am immensely grateful for receiving and giving this love,” added Lara.
“Love fully and be kind. Of all the lessons he taught me, these seem to be the most important.”
Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, wrote in the post, “I love you forever Lara.”
Actor Danny Burstein added: “Your dad WAS love. The very definition of love. I am so lucky to have felt this love. The first thing we always did was find out how our children were doing because we knew that was what our hearts were for. I will miss Bob forever.”
Saget, 65, was found dead in an Orlando, Florida hotel room hours after performing in Jacksonville as part of his nationwide comedy tour. The cause of his death has not been revealed.
The Full House star is survived by Rizzo and his three daughters, Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer, whom he shares with ex-wife Sherry Kramer.
Aubrey shared the last text she received from her father in a message posted to Instagram the day after his death. “Thank you. Love you. Show time!” he said.
