There are many tournaments left this year. We didn’t think for a millisecond about next year. I’m just thinking about playing the Davis Cup with Spain. The next thing is to go to China or whatever, but now they are concentrating on qualifying for the finals in Malaga.
How important is Davis to your season?
Apparently a lot. This is an illusion from childhood. I will debut as number one and it becomes a reality at home. This is a reward for the year I did, and to enjoy it with the fans in favor is something that makes me very happy. I really want to face what’s coming. There will be fights with other teams but I am ready for it.
If I get the pass, I will literally play at home, in Malaga.

Have you thought about a possible matchup against Djokovic?
Djokovic is Djokovic. I don’t think it’s necessary to elaborate further. He won a Grand Slam again, but it’s not just my point that matters, everything matters. I will do anything to get mine. I don’t know who the opponent is.
