Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy reveals interesting details about everything they are preparing.
Anticipation for Deadpool 3 is reaching epic proportions among superhero movie fans, and for good reason. The third installment in this blockbuster series will not only be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated release, but it also promises to explore new territory: the Fox-Marvel legacy.
Since his debut on the big screen, Deadpool, played in an unprecedented way by Ryan Reynolds, has been an iconic character. His first two films were made under the 20th Century Fox banner, in an era that was coming to an end. However, Deadpool 3 will not ignore his legacy, but rather embrace it.

“Deadpool and Wolverine are iconic Marvel characters. More specifically, iconic characters from Fox’s Marvel era. We’re not going to act like, oh, we’ll snap our fingers and suddenly the legacy of Fox is no longer there and shaped much of what we know as the MCU today. Fox also shaped Ryan’s career, Hugh’s career and mine. So there’s a lot of history there, and there’s a lot of Marvel history at Fox. And that’s certainly part of our storytelling.”. This is what the director of Deadpool 3 said during an interview with TF.
While there are no further plot details for now, the idea of Fox’s legacy being tied into the MCU is exciting.
