There is big news for Maruti Suzuki customers. The company has recalled a total of 1.81 lakh units of its different models. There is a possibility of finding safety-related flaws in these vehicles, which the company will investigate. The company itself will contact such customers and call them at the Maruti Suzuki workshop, who have the affected models. These models were made between 2018 and 2020.

These models were recalled
In a press release, Maruti Suzuki said that the vehicles that have been recalled include the petrol engined Ciaz, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga and XL6. Defects have been found in those units which were manufactured between 4 May 2018 to 27 October 2020. Maruti Suzuki suspects that 181,754 cars manufactured during this period may have manufacturing defects.
The company will inspect the motor generator unit of these vehicles and replace it free of cost if found faulty.

The process to replace the damaged parts of the affected models will start from the first week of November. Till then, Maruti Suzuki has advised owners of the above mentioned vehicles not to drive their cars in waterlogged areas.
