The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has become an attacker on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for opening shops in Delhi’s parks. Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the BJP-ruled North MCD does not have money to pay, yet the BJP is increasing the councilor’s fund of 25 lakhs by 600 per cent to 1.5 crore. The North MCD is going to build nurseries and shops for rent in the parks and has given the authority to give income certificates to the councilors for corruption. According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the local corporation councilor will decide whose shop will be built in the parks, but the councilor and MCD are not accountable for the encroachment. He said that the MCD is claiming road, drain works from the councilor fund, while the auditor has expressed doubt about the work in his report.
Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj said at the party headquarters on Sunday that garbage is spreading everywhere within Delhi, the cleaning workers are on strike and along with the three Municipal Corporation employees, the strike is going on. The reason for the strike is very valid, the corporation has not paid salaries to doctors, nurses, scavengers and many different employees for about 5 months. It is being said that the corporation has no money. Don’t have enough money to pay?
Councilors fund raised from 25 lakh to 1.5 crore
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the councilor’s fund, which used to be 25 lakh earlier, is now being increased by 600 percent. That is, the fund of 25 lakhs is being increased to 1.5 crore. Such works are done from the Councilor Fund, doubts are being raised on whether these works have been done or not. It is all written within the budget. How is it possible that the Municipal Corporation which does not have money to pay employees for 5 months, is going to allocate 600 percent more funds to its councilors.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that, as we told earlier, on the go, North Delhi Municipal Corporation is implementing every scheme of loot inside Delhi. One such astonishing scheme has emerged. On one hand, he said first, which is also written in his budget, first the South Delhi Municipal Corporation and now the North Delhi Municipal Corporation has said that shops will be built inside every park. The corporation will decide whose shop will be built. The corporation will also give his certificate. One, and this other scheme which comes inside it, is that they will open private nurseries inside the parks and will take the month’s rent from them.
