President Adex said that he asked the mayor of New York to consider Peruvian products in the healthy projects he has been promoting in the city for years with the aim of maintaining the food security of his citizens.
At the meeting, the Company presented Adams with several value-added products, such as quinoa cookies, instant quinoa, 70% chocolate cocoa, organic kiwicha, sacha inchi and chestnut oil, chia and organic staff, among others.
As reported by Adex, in 2022 the mayor signed two executive orders to promote healthier nutrition. The first measure seeks to invest part of the taxes to study better nutrition in schools and public hospitals, nurseries, hospitals, centers and prisons for juvenile detention.
Likewise, Pérez confirmed that the second reform aims at greater transparency in the purchase of food, the impact on the economy of the state and environmental sustainability.
On the other hand, the main representative of Adex mentioned that the United States of America (USA) is the main buyer of Andean grains such as quinoa, giant white corn and kiwicha, among others; yet the ships are growing.
In addition, he added that only in the first quarter of 2023 they would be transported to this market, winning 7 million 948,000 dollars. It should be noted that the presidents of Pisco, Agroindustry, Jewelry and Goldsmithing, Clothing, Services and Forestry businesses, among others, attended the meeting.
“It was a fruitful meeting, we not only highlighted our union and the leaders who accompanied us, but also the stability and power of the country,” he said.

Similarly, Julio Pérez highlighted the great Peruvian biodiversity and its role as a producer and food supermarket with specific nutritional properties.
“We have thousands of indigenous plant species with nutritional, medicinal and ornamental uses. We have given him many valuable surpluses and not only has he tasted quinoa cookies, but he has also declared himself a big consumer of Peruvian Maca,” he said.
