The Ministry of AYUSH celebrates Ayurveda Day every year on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti (Dhanteras). It started in 2016. This year, this day is falling on 13 November. According to the official website of the Press Information Bureau, on this special day, PM Narendra Modi will dedicate two Ayurvedic institutions to the nation. These include the Indian Institute of Ayurveda Education and Research (ITRA), Jamnagar and the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur. However keeping in view the current status of Kovid-19, 5th Ayurveda Day 2020 is being organized on a large scale through virtual platforms at national and international level.

The event dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dedicate both the institutions to the nation can be seen on https://pmevents.ncog.gov.in MyGov platform on November 13, 10.30 am. The Ministry of AYUSH has invited all the people to be a part of this event by registering on the MyGov platform. Recently created by an Act of Parliament, it is set to emerge as a world-class healthcare institute of Indian Ayurveda teaching and research. At the same time, the famous National Ayurved Institute of Jaipur has received the status of equivalent university (de novo category) throughout the country.
