With an anonymous letter, a professor at the National Institute alleged that the campus was experiencing “child dictatorship” and sought help to fix up the establishment, following a new acquisition.
Confronted by a new takeover of the National Institute, which began mobilizing to demand a series of demands, a professor alleged that the establishment was under a “child dictatorship”.
Through an anonymous letter, the academic expressed his regret for taking this, which he said was validated by the rectory and also by the Municipal Directorate of Education of Santiago.
In the text, which was accessed by Radio Bío Bío, it is said that “is it possible to validate an illegal act by voting by underage students? Can an undemocratic act be validated by a vote?”
“From March till today, and even over the years, there has been an intolerable situation regarding violence. There is not a day when nothing happens: hoods, white overalls, gatherings in the courtyard, “camoto” for policemen, Molotov and others, reads the text.
Then, the academic pointed out that “there are also officials working in RRSS who try to make it look like a school to follow RICE (Rules of Internal School Coexistence), accusing us of ‘political harassment’ and even by parents who seek an ideological agenda”.
“The present governments and laws have taken away the powers from the adults in the name of human rights of the students and no one respects the authority anymore. Finally, he wrote that the establishment is under a “child dictatorship” that “doesn’t respect anyone or anything.”
“In the past 2022 we had over 50 officers on medical leave for health problems arising out of these problems. The national institute is under a violent student dictatorship (certainly some) that respects no one. We urgently need assistance and an intervention policy to reclaim our historic school”, he closed.
