Governor Jorge Capitanich and the Minister of Health, Carolina Centeno, opened the second day of the Provincial Digital Health. “The new record of digital medicine will strengthen the care of the people at the center, with real-time information to make strategic decisions that allow the greatest success and gradually solve problems,” said Capitanich.
The event was held in the Obligatory Hall of the House of Government, where the director of Health and Digital Government, Jorge Kriskovich, directors of the central level, regional health and health centers and provincial hospitals participated.
During the conference, they explained developments in the development of digital medical tools, case and referral management systems, and the creation of digital community leaders. It also associated the new incentive payment program Summar with the effects of effective coverage and digital health, and a new results-based management system with producers.
In May 2022, the provincial government had launched a digital tool as part of the transformation and modernization process of the health system. “Between 2022 and 2023 we will invest one thousand five hundred million pesos in equipment, training and development of systems to promote efficient use for different levels of the system,” said Capitanich.
In the first 120 days of 2023, 63 health centers, 9 thousand patient operators and 700 professionals have already registered in the digital medical tool. “The proposed goal is that the digital medical record can be definitively completed in June, which requires 2,000 computers, which we are in the process of acquiring, and a digital literacy program with 3,000 properly trained workers,” he said. .
Thus, during the day, the computers of the health centers “Pedro Biolchi” in Barranqueras, “Juan de Garay”, “Alicia Moreau de Justo”, “Santa Catalina” and “Generalis Belgrano” in Resistencia and Dr. Finochietto “Puerto Vilelas”, and to make the objective possible, the fiber optic network was extended for an additional 700 kilometers.
“Full implementation implies an adequate legislative framework, which is a provincial digital law that the Chamber of Deputies of the province must approve. So we also believe that it is necessary to combine digitization with incentives for individuals within the framework of collective work, the agreement of the public sector and the implementation of the health course”, added Capitanich.
The objective of the Digital Health Program is to promote the development and implementation of an ecosystem of health information and communication technology to provide convenient, personalized, quality health services in a more efficient manner.
“If we can face and overcome the adversities, then we are so that patients do not have to wait in line, so that machine consultations are less expensive and make procedures easier,” the leader summarized.
The Province of Chaco, through Decree No. 278/2022, created the first Digital Health Directorate in the region. The Chaco 2030 Digital Health Strategy will be implemented in three phases: Phase 1 (2021-2022); Passover II (2023-2024) and Passover III (2025-2030).
More than 16 thousand services are loaded in the system
Minister Centeno recalled that eight months ago, a pilot test began in the metropolitan area to implement a digital medical record and today more than 16,000 benefits have been loaded into the system. “This digital work in the network guarantees a comprehensive and longitudinal care in the health system”, he stated, because through this tool doctors are available all the benefits that the patient had during his time in the health centers.
He also referred to the Telehealth project “which means using technological tools to act on the lack of human resources or the lack of specialists, since it would be possible to carry out interventions remotely and thus avoiding the mobilization of people, lowering transport costs and optimizing times.”. “We are looking to progress in this way in the virtual consultation and the virtual hospital, which is another initiative that we have as a service”, explained Centeno.
Institute for high complexity cardio oncology
