As per her expatriate movement, on September 25, 2021, Digna Calle left for the US. A luxurious residence, located on Cedar Grove Street in Wellington, Florida, awaited her there.
The Ayacucho-born congresswoman arranged the purchase of the property, valued at US$865,000. A few days later, on September 30, Digna Calle formalized the acquisition of this house with the then owners, Jaime Pardo and Colmar Contreras.
After purchasing this house, Congresswoman Digna Calle returned to Peru on October 5, 2021. But, from that moment on, the legislators will start traveling to the US every month.
In May 2022, Digna Cale again walked out of Congress and traveled to Florida. This time he was looking to do a property transfer operation. The Congresswoman sold her home for $865,000 to Daffy & Company LLC, a limited liability company formed by herself and her husband, Aaron Espinoza Velarde, a councilor in the municipality of Lima. The sale was made for $10.
But that was not all. Months later, on September 30, 2022, the Congresswoman’s company sold the home to a couple for the sum of $10, a legal figure that is allowed in the US so that the owners avoid paying large amounts of tax. However, records from the Florida Division of Corporations from February of this year show that Digna Calle and her husband, Aaron Espinoza, are listed with a home address of Wellington, Florida.
The Congresswoman who claims to have the largest number of bills also has the largest number of tours in America. In February this year, Digna Calle, elected to carry out representative functions and listen to the population in search of solutions, requested personal leave without pay and not to participate in Congress. This happened a few days after he left the country for the last time (January 20).
Despite the distance, Calle Lobton continues to push for his most infamous bills and decisions made on the bench of Podemos Peru. His most popular legislative proposals include the resignation of congressmen, the creation of a municipal police, private insurance for night guards, the release of 4 UITs from the AFP fund, and a law against bullying.

In this regard, senior Congress official Javier Angeles confirmed that the MP has not been paid but continues to enter the plenary session for voting.
“In the Digna Calle case, two or three months ago he requested that he not be paid his salary, or a week’s representation or function for the Congress. (He has formally withdrawn himself from work, Because he requested leave, he resigned his salary, but he continued to enter the plenary session to vote,” Javier Angeles told “Cuarto Poder.”
