Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Nissan. Currently, the Yokohama firm presents four sedans in the United States market: Máxima, Sentra, Altima and Versa. Today we are invited to this latest model and especially its interior. It is worth noting that the Versa is the cheapest Nissan saloon available.
Before, we need to contextualize the exterior updates that the Versa presents in its 2023 version, in the new front we can see how this chair approaches its Altima colleague. We must remember that the Altima, even from the Japanese factory, is cheaper and more expensive than the Versa. Now its wheels have been changed to 17°, giving a metallic and elegant look to the Versa movement.
Then, in general terms, the Versa update does not break the aesthetic lines of the 2022 version, neither inside nor outside. In the passenger compartment, aesthetic sobriety continues to dominate, while the LED infotainment touchscreen in the center of the dashboard attracts the eye.
That we can see in the new Aesthetics Versa update. Nissan isn’t trying to make its Versa a “heavyweight” sedan, but it’s aiming for a different market. Look for a more relaxed seat in the Versa, attached to mobile devices, with some playful nods, especially on the wheels and in the front.

Now, to what he calls us in this article. In the passenger compartment we find a sober design, in dark tones, gray upholstery and red details. Arranged for 4/5 of the people, the inner Versa could be defined by its insight. On the dashboard, of course, stands out its brand new LED infotainment screen. The said screen is a touch screen and its measurement is 8″, useful and without exuberance, as is the conception of the Versa.
“The new Nissan Versa is loaded with advanced technology,” Nissan announces about the Versa. We know the Nissan commercial with this sedan design: a partner for efficient daily life in the city, a safe car, a friend, reliable, and with medium consumption. There is potential for this car in the market.
The Versa technology is a section in itself, being one of the strengths the factory boasts when presenting this model. For example, Nissan has Intelligent Mobility. In the said “Technology Pack”, we can find Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB), Blind Spot Alert (BSW) or Intelligent Peripheral Vision Monitor (IAVM), Forward Collision Alert (FCW), Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Another interesting aspect is the “Driver-Astare” monitor for the driver, where the factory proposes: “Among the fuel efficiency, safety alerts and even your Bluetooth sound using the available full color screen.” This monitoring can be done with the keypad available on the steering wheel.
New to the Versa in 2023 are 60/40 split rear seats. These allow the trunk to expand, and provide a larger volume if needed. Once again, Nissan presents its “smart storage,” which are spaces in the Versa designed for items such as cell phones, bottles, and wallets.
Technological applications in safety behind the wheel are Nissan’s strong point. However, we are not only focusing on Nissan, but on the goals of the three big brands in Japan: Honda, Toyota and the one that joins us today. There they know that they have a point of attraction for the future customer. More than commensurate with the price, driving a high-security seat coupled with a range of premium features.

Nissan is launching six versions of the Versa. All of which are supported by the same mechanism. We are talking about the front engine, 1.6 liters, four cylinders in line and 16 valves with multiple injection in series. This is taken care of through a manual or Xtronic CVT 5 speed.
This allows a maximum power of 118 hp at 6,300 rpm, while its maximum torque is set at 110 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. The steering is electrically assisted, and its traction is in the front, a classic chair.
As you can imagine: we are not ahead of the game. We offer chairs for practical use, thought and designed for daily and training demands. Its equivalents are about 120 horsepower, with its inline four-cylinder straight for this type of engine.
As we can see, what we find in the Versa is a car that thinks about the needs of future customers and tries to act accordingly. That’s why we found in this update of the chair that technical skills are supported for comfort and safety in relation to the wheel, and in the right rest according to the body part of the work – especially in the front -.
