With weeks of good snow cover and a couple of heavy winter storms, Loveland Ski Resort will open this Saturday.
The Chet’s Dream elevator will begin operation at 8:30 am on Oct.30, offering skiers one top-down slope, officials said Thursday. Opening day trails – Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run – span a mile in length and 1,000 feet vertically. According to the announcement, crews will continue to lay snow on other slopes from the lift in hopes of opening more runs soon.
Loveland Ski Resort will be open seven days a week until its closing day in May 2022. The lifts operate from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays and from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on weekends. Lift tickets at the start of the season are $ 85 for adults and $ 35 for children ages 6-14.
Loveland is the third Front Range ski resort to open to the public in October, after the Arapaho Pool, which opened October 17, and Keystone, which opened October 22. The Wolf Creek Ski Resort in southern Colorado also opened in mid-month.
