Carlos Zelaya is the brother of former President Manuel Zelaya Rosales (2006–2009). The opposition describes him as the man who holds power in the National Congress, over Luis Redondo, the president of the legislature.
This is the case of Luis Redondo, who, despite leading the said state power and taking positions in favor of Libre, is excluded from this political institute in the search for agreements.
Although their spokespeople emphasize Redondo’s position, Libertad y Refundación trusts Congressman Carlos Zelaya.
“Carlón” is the brother of former President Manuel Zelaya Rosales (2006-2009).
He is the secretary of the National Congress and is a member of the executive board of the said state power.
This Wednesday, after a meeting, it was confirmed that Carlos Zelaya will lead the negotiations with the opposition on the election of the Attorney General and Deputy.
Zelaya is currently the deputy of Olancho Department.
The political opposition describes him as the man who holds power in the National Congress over Luis Redondo.
The role that “Carlón” plays in Congress calls into question the power exercised by Redondo, who belongs to the Salvador Party of Honduras (PSH).
During the week, PSH leaders questioned the CN leader’s role in choosing the State Ministry’s authorities and said they were already studying possible expulsion from this political entity.
