A Montrealer who caused the death of a lover during a violent road trip in North Montreal after allegedly driving mad while drunk is now facing a slew of alcohol-related driving and dangerous driving charges.
“The motor vehicle caused the death of Adriano Cabello in a dangerous public manner”, can be read in the citations that were sent a few days ago to Jose Daniel Cruz Gochez, but which will then be published at the Montreal forum.
Cruz Gochez, a 33-year-old resident of North Montreal, admitted his crime in the early morning of April 2, 2022. According to our information, even though it was only 6:20 am at the legal deadline. He did not stop, however, from getting into a shiny Mercedes C400, with a friend sitting in the passenger seat.
However, once on Industriel boulevard not far from his house, Cruz Gochez accelerated until he lost control of the vehicle. He had crossed the fence several times and found himself on the opposite side of the business.

The vehicle ended up violently colliding with a tree on the passenger side. Mr. Cabello, 34, was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the hospital.
Cruz Gochez, on the other hand, would suffer superficial injuries and we could tell during his arrest when he would have been particularly aggressive towards the police.
Many police investigations followed, which involved reconstructionists and biological analyses, among other things. And a year later, the Crown felt it had gathered enough evidence to charge Cruz Gochez.

He is now charged with four counts, including driving dangerously and causing death by fleeing the culpable.
Cruz Gochez, who has a few criminal records for identity fraud and assault with a weapon, has already spent a few stints in prison.
In this case, he will appear for freedom in the coming weeks.
