27 September (WNN) — dancing with the Stars Prof Cheryl Burke has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 37-year-old professional dancer and television personality said in a video on Instagram on Sunday that she will be in quarantine for 10 days after testing positive for the virus.
Burke, who said he was “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19, tested positive in a week DWTS Season 30. She has partnered with Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby on the season.
“The PCR test came back, and it came back positive,” Burke said of his video. “I just feel so bad. I feel so bad for Cody. I feel like I’m letting him down.”
“I thought I should tell you guys because I’ve been as open and genuine and vulnerable as I am here. I hope I haven’t spread it,” she said. “For those of you who don’t think COVID is a real thing, this is [expletive] Real, man.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race Judge Michelle Visage and actress Alessandra Torresani voiced their support for Burke in the comments.
“Oh honey, sending you fast recovery energy,” Visage wrote.
“Sending all the love and healing energy,” Torresani said.
Burke and Rigsby were to perform on Monday DWTS. It is unknown how Burke’s diagnosis will affect Rigby’s fate on the show.
DWTS Airs on Mondays on ABC. Season 30 also stars Spice Girls singer Melanie C., Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, YouTube star JoJo Siwa and former Single Star Matt James as the contestant.
